About
Liz
Hi! I am Liz.
I have over 15 years of experience with complex care patients, including in the areas of: medical health and/or chronic pain issues/medical care burnout; sex, fertility, and relationship struggles; and eating disorders (including ARFID, binge-eating, bulimia, and food allergies).
Those who come to see me are often at a crossroads, frustrated at how they are trying to deal with problems and seeking workable strategies and solutions to cope. Therapy is meant to be a space to feel welcome to talk about thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are problematic.
Understanding unhealthy behaviors, frustrations with life, and/or unsuccessful efforts to cope can help reveal the obstacles that may block your path to growth and desired outcomes. Why do we explore? So you can live a life YOU want to live!
I am trained in a variety of modalities including Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping), ACT, CBT, Sports Psychology, Hakomi Method, and Contemplative Care.
I enjoy working collaboratively alongside clients to assist their awareness of factors that impact their emotional well-being. My professional background is in integrated somatic, mindfulness, sports psychology, cognitive-behavioral, Pain Management, and strengths-based modalities.
These strategies support building a trusting therapeutic relationship with each client to feel empowered to take healthy steps that suit each person's individual needs. I enjoy being a witness to client awareness, insight, and growth.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and my rescue dogs, softball, continuing my mindfulness/meditation practice, and spending time at the ocean. I find joy in laughter, watching sitcoms, being a part of social communities and growing personally and professionally.
