We’re here to help
You can book your first appointment directly on our website. In order to book your appointment, we’ll ask for some basic information, as well as your unique needs and preferences that make all the difference in finding the right care for you.
If you’ve been referred to Two Chairs by another provider, please check your email for a welcome email from us with a link to book your matching appointment.
At Two Chairs, your first appointment is a 45-minute video session with a licensed clinician who is trained extensively in assessing and matching people to the right care for them. It’s our chance to learn more about you and discuss things like what brings you to Two Chairs and your goals and preferences for treatment.
Our goal is to gain a better understanding of your symptoms, goals, and other factors that contribute to your mental health so we can build the right care plan for you. You can learn more about our approach to matching here and book your first appointment here.
At Two Chairs, we know that our clients want to feel and function better. To make sure that happens as quickly as possible, we’ll ask you to complete a mental health check-in each week before your session to tell your clinician how things are going.
During your session, you and your clinician will be able discuss these check-ins together so you can develop a sense of your progress: not just your symptoms, but also your quality of life. Your clinician can use this information to make changes to your care plan so you can start feeling better, faster.
Visit our blog to learn more about how long therapy takes to work, measurement-based care, and mental health check-ins.
Please refer to our Pricing & insurance page to see if we’re in network with your health insurance.
If you have specific questions about your coverage, our Care Coordination team can also provide you with an eligibility and benefits check. To get started, submit a request with your full name, date of birth, and a copy of the front and back of your insurance card.
If we are out-of-network with your insurance, you may still be eligible to have 60-80% of your costs covered by out-of-network benefits. For detailed benefits information, we recommend calling the Member Services number on the back of your insurance card and asking about your out-of-network benefits for mental health services (both in-person and virtual), and what criteria need to be met to access those benefits (such as a deductible).
At Two Chairs, our goal is to help you feel and function better so you can get back to your life. The graduation process — successfully completing care when you feel better and your goals are met — can also play an important role in future growth. This final phase of treatment is an opportunity to review your gains in therapy, anticipate potential challenges in the future, and discuss how you can apply lessons learned in therapy to continue your growth.
