About
Valeria
Hi, I'm Val! I work with survivors: people who have experienced or witnessed violence, abuse, neglect, disasters, and events that tore their lives apart. My clients include women healing from intimate partner violence, people navigating disability and serious illness, and parents who want to show up better for their kids - even when they're struggling themselves. My style is best described as "cozy." I strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment where people can simply show up as they are from moment to moment. I use a combination of somatic (body and breath-focused) therapy to help people strengthen their nervous systems, EMDR to fully process trauma in the brain, and Narrative Therapy to support people in telling their stories from a place of power.
I'm an older single mom with three kids (one of whom is all grown up). I enjoy spending time outdoors in my garden, hiking, or camping. I also like to crochet, I'm a voracious reader, and I practice yoga. I'm anti-racist, disability and LGBTQIA+ allied, and I believe that no one is illegal. I'm spiritual and interested in creating a world where everyone belongs. Mostly, though, I can't wait to meet you!
