Valene, pronounced Val-leen, believes each therapeutic interaction should be individualized; thus, she utilizes an eclectic therapy approach- meaning she assists clients by drawing from various evidence-based therapeutic approaches and techniques. She tailors treatment to each client's needs. Valene considers the therapeutic relationship extremely important and strives to be a collaborative, empathetic, non-judgmental, person-centered therapist. Valene's professional interest includes working with young adults, Caribbeans and Caribbean Americans, and the BIPOC community, among others.
In her spare time, Valene enjoys spending time with her family, visiting new places/traveling, watching reality TV, and playing games.
