About
Tara
Hello, I'm Tara! My clinical style is direct, collaborative, and grounded in honesty and compassion. I am a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist and Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. I utilize IFS, Mindfulness and somatic approaches, DBT and CBT to address your individual needs. I specialize in helping clients reconnect with self-trust and inner wisdom, align values and action, address behavioral change and healthy coping, manage people-pleasing tendencies and boundaries, improve healthy communication, and identify and practice self-nurturing. I believe therapy is most effective when we can speak openly about what is happening in your life and our process in the room. I show up as a real person, engaged, and present, and I believe that our work is a partnership. While I bring clinical depth and perspective, you bring your lived experience. Together, we can move toward clarity and insight.
I enjoy travel, new experiences, spending time by a river or in the mountains, and I love music and movement. My background includes time spent living and working at a meditation retreat center, which has helped me maintain a grounded perspective in my daily life. I’m a firm believer in the necessity of stillness, and I deeply value the balance of active exploration and intentional rest. I find support from family, friends, nature, and my cat Ember.
