About
Stephanie
Therapy with me is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My job isn’t to tell you who you should be—it’s to help you feel more connected to who you already are and empower you to embrace all of it. I pull from a variety of approaches, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and more, depending on what feels most supportive for you and what you’re working through. Because I believe so strongly in the mind-body connection, I often weave breathwork and meditation into our work together. We’ll explore all the different parts of you, while also building practical skills you can take with you long after our sessions end. I also bring a culturally sensitive lens to my work and believe that the differences that make each of us unique are also what make us beautiful.
My path to this career was a bit of a winding one, first spending over a decade as an event producer/marketer in the corporate and entertainment industries, until I decided to go back to school in my thirties. BUT - once an event planner, always an event planner. I still love to throw parties - especially theme parties and game nights. I'm a bit obsessed with all things pop culture, and often bring in random references to our conversations. Ever the adventurer, you can usually find me out and about trying new activities and experiences - often awkwardly. I love to travel the world and explore new cultures and landscapes, and I have dreams of living abroad one day. For now, I enjoy living in San Diego with my grumpy dog Luna while eating, hiking and dancing my way through the city.
