About
Shannon
Hi, I am Shannon. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership. My core methodology is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a highly effective, action-oriented approach. I am here to help my clients understand their specific thought patterns and behaviors that may be holding them back. While therapy involves practical, structured tools for change, my priority is always establishing a strong therapeutic rapport. I am committed to fostering a safe, empathetic, and encouraging environment where you feel comfortable to explore, challenge, and grow. I want this time to be part of your self-care where we can work together to help you grow to the version of yourself you want to be.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have two large dogs, so I also enjoy walking and spending time with them (they need a lot of attention and exercise). In my free time, I enjoy playing softball in different leagues and the occasional tournament. I find peace in painting, crafting and listening to music. I am recently on my path in fostering and watering my relationship with faith. I also really love a good game night with my friends. Lastly, I recently passed her BCBA exam which was a huge goal of mine. After multiple failed attempts, it was such a blessing to see that "PASS" score. This allows me to use both my counseling and behavioral skills within my full time job working in special education.
