About
Shannon
My motivation as a clinician stems from both my professional experience and a deeply personal connection to mental health. Through my work as a therapist and social worker, I have witnessed how trauma and anxiety can profoundly affect individuals and families. These experiences have strengthened my genuine desire to help others find healing, stability, and empowerment. My own experiences with mental health have also deepened my empathy and strengthened my commitment to providing care that is both authentic and compassionate. Clinically, my style is collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I believe meaningful progress happens within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and grounding techniques, while remaining flexible and responsive to each client’s unique needs, goals, and pace. I believe that therapy is not about changing who you are, but about creating a space where you can better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and develop the tools needed to move forward. My work is guided by the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing when supported with understanding, respect, compassion, and the right tools for change.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, traveling, reading, and being present for the simple moments in life. I also enjoy astrology and Pilates, which allow me to stay connected to myself, practice mindfulness, and make space for balance and self-care.
