About
Sarah
I became a therapist because I know how heavy it can feel to carry something alone, and I wanted to be the kind of person who sits with people in that. What keeps me in this work is getting to watch someone go from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to feeling more like themselves, more confident, clearer about what they want, and kinder to themselves along the way.
My style is warm and collaborative. I don't see myself as the expert on your life; you are. I think of us as a team, working at a pace that feels right for you. I pay close attention not just to what you're thinking, but to what's happening in your body and your nervous system, because so much of what we carry lives there. I'm certified in Brainspotting, a gentle, body-based approach that helps us reach and release the stuff that talking alone sometimes can't get to. If you've been through hard or painful things, we'll move carefully and build a sense of safety first. I care a lot about therapy feeling like a real relationship, not a clinical exercise, and I'm not afraid to bring humor and honesty into the room.
I especially love working with people navigating anxiety, big life transitions, and the messy, exciting stretch of early adulthood when you're figuring out who you are and what you want your life to look like.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me with a book in hand or in the kitchen. Reading is my favorite way to slow down, and I'm the kind of person who always has a stack of books waiting and strong opinions about which one you should read next. Cooking is how I take care of the people I love. I like trying new recipes, but I like even more having a full table and a kitchen that's a little too loud. My golden retriever, Odin, is my constant sidekick. He's goofy, sweet, and completely convinced that every person he meets is his new best friend, and he does a great job of keeping me grounded and outside in the fresh air.
