About
Samuel
I believe psychotherapy is a powerful way to better understand ourselves, our relationships, and the patterns that shape our lives. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling safe enough to explore who you are and what you want for your life. I approach therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we'll explore the experiences that have shaped you, makes sense of the challenges you're facing, and identify practical tools that can help you move towards your goals. I value curiosity, honesty, compassion, and I strive to balance deeper exploration with strategies you can use in your everyday life. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people as they navigate some of life's most difficult and meaningful moments. I hope to offer a space where you can grow, heal, and feel supported along the way.
Outside of work, I find balance through spending time with my family, exploring the art of cooking and baking, and finding peace along the shores of the Puget Sound. I enjoy slowing down, being present, and approaching life with curiosity and gratitude. I believe these moments of joy, reflection, and connection help me show up more fully for myself and for the people I have the privilege of working with. As a proud Black and queer therapist, I deeply value community, connection, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and understood. My own experiences have shaped my appreciation for the many ways identity, culture, and relationships influence our lives and the stories we tell about ourselves. I carry that understanding into both my personal life and my work, and I strive to meet others with openness, compassion, and respect.
