About
Rachel (Yi Ling)
My name is Rachel, I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. I have seen how difficult life can be, especially when people are balancing relationships, work, school, family expectations, or major life changes. My goal is to help you feel supported while discovering your own strengths and creating meaningful and lasting change. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to get to know you, your story, your values, and what matters most to you. Some sessions may focus on learning practical coping skills, while others may involve exploring past experiences, understanding patterns, processing difficult emotions, or simply having a safe place to talk through what's on your mind. I believe therapy works best when we work together as a team. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and supportive environment where you feel comfortable being yourself. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, grieving, or simply looking to understand yourself better, I will meet you where you are and help you move toward the life you want.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring my creative side and spending quality time with family. I love traveling, sightseeing, and discovering new places, trying new restaurants, exploring museums, visiting zoos, aquariums, gem shows, road trips, and comic conventions, etc. I am always excited to learn something new and experience something unique. Creativity is an important part of my life. I enjoy playing piano, teaching piano, painting, drawing, crafting, building LEGO sets, and collecting trading cards. These hobbies help me relax, recharge, and stay curious. I also enjoy spending time in nature, watching birds, squirrels, bunnies, and other wildlife helps me feel grounded and reminds me to be present in the moment. I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Growing up in a multicultural environment has given me a deep appreciation for different perspectives and life experiences. I believe our unique identities, cultures, and experiences are strengths, and I value getting to know each person as an individual.
