About
Michelle
I am deeply committed to helping adults build insight, resilience, and sustainable change. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and PhD Candidate specializing in trauma and advanced human behavior, I am especially driven to support individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and major life transitions. I believe meaningful therapy happens when you feel both genuinely understood and appropriately challenged, creating a space where you can safely explore your patterns, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward long-term growth. My clinical style is warm, collaborative, and structured. I integrate evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and skills-based interventions—while tailoring treatment to your specific goals. I balance empathy with accountability, helping you translate insight into practical, measurable change. I pride myself on being grounded and thoughtful, and I value clarity and consistency to ensure our work remains both reflective and action-oriented.
In my free time, I love to get lost in a good science fiction book. Being near the water and scuba diving is my favorite way to recharge and reset. I also enjoy playing video games, which is a fun way for me to unwind while tapping into my strategic and creative side. At home, I spend most of my time with my four very spoiled dogs and cherish quality time with my husband. I truly believe that maintaining this balance outside of work helps me show up grounded, present, and energized for my clients.
