About
Mary
I have a humanistic approach to therapy which uses a strengths-based approach to build resiliency and new pathways to understanding and resolving life problems, traumas and disappointments. I use relationship-based therapies to engage, collaborate and reduce the challenges that people face. I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) along with motivational interviewing and mindfulness techniques to develop an understanding of how thoughts and feelings influence behavior and how changing either a thought, behavior or an action can create change in a person's life.
I adore my family and enjoy spending time with my husband, three adult children and two young grandchildren. I also am a foodie and love to try new cuisines. I enjoy traveling around the world and recently went to Japan with my son and daughter during cherry blossom season. I also like spending time on the central coast of California. I play tennis and pickle ball regularly and enjoy walking and talking with friends and family. To relax, I watch movies or read books. I grew up in a family of nine children in Central Pennsylvania. We have reunions with all nine of us every two years and once a year I spend 3 - 4 days with my sisters in different parts of the country.
