Mariah Romero
She/Her
Mariah
is a therapist at Two Chairs.
Mariah approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and collaboration. She values building a strong therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe enough to explore patterns, emotions, and past experiences at their own pace. Her clinical style is relational and insight-oriented, helping clients understand how early relationships, family dynamics, and core beliefs influence present-day thoughts, behaviors, and attachment patterns.
She integrates reflective exploration with practical coping strategies, supporting clients in developing self-awareness while also learning skills they can use in everyday life. Mariah especially enjoys helping clients make meaningful connections between their past and present so they can move toward healthier relationships, increased self-trust, and emotional balance.
Mariah views clinical work as an evolving practice and actively seeks continued learning to better support diverse client experiences. She is committed to expanding her understanding of culturally responsive and decolonizing approaches to therapy and strives to remain reflective about how identity, culture, and systemic factors impact mental health and healing. She works from a strengths-based perspective and believes growth happens when clients feel understood rather than judged.
In her free time, Mariah enjoys creative and restorative activities that help her stay grounded and balanced. She loves music, sewing, and spending time with her dogs. She also enjoys vintage fashion and styling, exploring coffee shops, and working on small creative projects. Mariah values slow, intentional moments, whether that’s a relaxing day at home, time with loved ones, or finding inspiration in everyday life.
