About
Maria
Greetings! I go by Dr. Monique, for short. I practice from a foundation of honesty, transparency and authenticity. I am motivated by helping people tell the truth about their lives with more courage, compassion and clarity. I believe healing often begins when we feel seen enough to be honest about what is working, what is hurting, and what needs to change. My style is direct, candid but supportive, and real. I live outside of the boxes the world and my profession have tried to put me in. As a result, clients often experience me as someone who will listen deeply, curiously challenge them, and ask insightful and thoughtful questions. I aim to create a space where you can show up as you authentically are on that day, in that hour and know that you'll be respected, affirmed and supported while also being encouraged to grow.
Outside of work I love spending time with family, hosting carne asadas/BBQs at my home, smoking on the Traeger, learning new things, traveling to the beach and feeling the sand and often cold water in between my toes. I am a mother to girls with only one left at home, married for 11 years and together for 16 years. I value laughter, meaningful conversations, good food and moments where I have to be fully present in order to enjoy. I also have daily eclectic spiritual practices and routines that help keep me aligned.
