Liz has 25 years of experience working with diverse populations. She believes strongly in the healing power of therapy and uses a solution-focused approach. She values every client's story as his or her unique journey. She uses those experiences as her guide to match with interventions that fit the client's needs. Despite more than two decades in the field, she remains committed to continuous learning.
Liz is a cat person and admits to having eight cats in her household as well as caring for an additional four abandoned cats living in her neighborhood. Her favorite relaxation activity is creating handmade greeting cards.

Education and Experience
- I have a bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees in social work.
- I also have a bachelor's degree in English and worked for four years as a reporter and editor for a newspaper.
- I have taught bachelor's and master's degree social work students at several universities, including Morehead State University, Texas A&M University, Commerce Texas, and Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado
- In additional to many years doing individual counseling, I have also worked in a clinic, a walk-in crisis center, a prison, a jail, with child protective services, with employee assistance, with the elderly, in a facility for young children with mental health challenges, and at a home health agency.
- I have been directly involved in mental health since 2000.
