About
Katrina
Hi, I am Katrina! I practice from a client-centered approach, where I take the time to hear the needs of each individual and prioritize how these needs can be met. However, I can acknowledge that people often experience client-centered approaches as lacking some direction and structure. Therefore, I blend my empathetic approach with direct insight on observed patterns that are impacting an individual’s functioning. I will often encourage leaning into one’s discomfort while in the therapy room in order to process and gain progress. I also value the ability to laugh in sessions. I enjoy using theories such as Cognitive Behavior Theory, Internal Family Systems, and The Gottman Method to better understand how our past experiences shape how we show up today and guide the learning of new tools to create a different future.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, watching reality TV, going to baseball games and spending time in the sun. You might find me making pop culture references in our time together!
