About
Jen
Hi there, my name is Jen and I have been in clinical practice for over a decade now. I was brought to the work of therapy through the ongoing fascination I have around how our bodies hold and express both our emotions and our lived experiences. I have a healthy respect and appreciation for the individual and uniquely formed nature of each person’s life story. I come to sessions with curiosity about the stories that are hidden inside each client and with skills and tools to help each client understand and make meaning from their life experiences. My work tends to focus on helping individuals get "un-stuck" especially if they are suffering from trauma, anxiety, depression, or from the impact of major life changes and transitions. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing struggles with their periods or are in the life transitions of perimenopause or menopause. My experience as a member of the LBGTQIA+ community, as well as my deep spiritual and philosophical roots based in yoga, also support and inform the way I work with clients.
I deeply value travel. I not only enjoy new places, faces, and foods, but have appreciation for the diverse ways in which humans live and interact. I believe that experiencing diversity is one of the best ways to grow and challenge myself. Living in Florida provides ample opportunities to enjoy nature. I can often be found camping or floating down one of our many crystal clear, spring fed rivers. Finally, when not traveling or out in nature, I’m at home reading, cooking, playing with my daughter, or caring for our big fluffy dog and three Nigerian Dwarf goats.
