Hola! I’m Isa, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. Since I started my career as a therapist, my primary goal has always been to create an open space where you feel completely safe to be yourself. I find a lot of joy in helping individuals navigate life's challenges, discover their inner strength, and learn practical skills to genuinely improve their quality of life. Over the last 12 years, I’ve treated a variety of clients with concerns ranging from low mood to complex childhood trauma. As a proud Latina, I am passionate about providing culturally responsive care and am happy to offer therapy fluently in both English and Spanish. I specialize in helping clients manage and heal from Anxiety Disorders, Depression (including Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders or PMADs) and Trauma. Rather than just looking at symptoms, I take a holistic approach to therapy. I view you as a whole person, which means we will explore all the pieces of your unique puzzle—including sleep habits, relationships, and nutrition—to see how they impact your well-being. In our work together, I use evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help re-frame unhelpful thought patterns. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To help you align your actions with your deepest values. Mindfulness: To ground you in the present moment and reduce stress.
Outside of the therapy space, I am likely soaking up quality time with my husband and our baby. I also have three cats and a dog who might get curious and like to make guest appearances from time to time. To recharge, I love diving into a good book, catching a funny or thrilling movie, or treating myself to a boba tea. I live in the Sacramento area and I enjoy discovering new places and events with my little family.
