About
Greg
Hello. I’m Greg. I am motivated by knowing the importance of quality therapy for the clients I serve. What I love most about my job is that I am often able to help clients in a relatively short amount of time. I enjoy providing them with tools and skills that can make a tremendous difference in their lives. While my therapy approach is grounded in CBT, I also use dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, strengths-based and expressive therapies to tailor treatment to the unique needs of the clients I serve. I strive to support clients who are bereaved or challenged with depression, anxiety, caregiver stress, work-related stress, difficult life transitions, and other issues. I try to help clients understand the relationships between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, reframe dysfunctional core beliefs, improve self-esteem, problem solve, create positive choices, and develop adaptive coping responses. Ultimately, my goal is to empower you to make positive choices and develop healthy coping mechanisms. I am dedicated to working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and am passionate about creating a safe and supportive space for all clients. Although I cannot promise that your behaviors or circumstances will change, I can promise to fully support you and do my very best to understand you and your repeating patterns, as well as to help you clarify what it is that you want for yourself. Life can throw us some big curve balls that feel impossible to adjust to. I believe, with assistance, anyone can process the past, heal, build improved coping skills, and cultivate a mindset that is needed to create a life that is enjoyable. I bring experience, compassion, integrity, and clinical skills to my practice. My services are fiercely confidential. I endeavor to be a soft place to land for all the clients with whom I work. I listen attentively and demonstrate empathy. It is critically important to me that you know that you matter and that I care.
I believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Currently, I enjoy hiking, woodworking, dancing, yardwork, and spending time with family. In my younger years, I passionately pursued several outdoor adventure sports, including middle distance running, cycling, whitewater canoeing, backcountry skiing, sea kayaking, and backpacking. I know, first-hand, what it means to have to re-invent oneself.
