About
Erika
Hi, I'm Erika! I am a therapist and Clinical Manager here at Two Chairs. I have been working in the mental health field since 2013 and have experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across a variety of settings. My primary theoretical orientations are Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Beahvioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). At the heart of my work is the belief that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in fostering meaningful and lasting change - I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
I am also committed to utilizing evidence-based practices and interventions that are informed by and evaluated through empirical research. My goal is to tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs while helping them build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward their personal goals. Most importantly, I believe therapy is a collaborative process. We are in this together, and I am here to support, encourage, and guide you every step of the way! We got this.
In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my loved ones (including pets), watching a good show, and reading. I also enjoy being active, a good iced coffee (heavy on the whipped cream), and attending my book club. 🙂
