About
Elizabeth (Yelizaveta)
Hello, I'm Elizabeth! I have twelve years of experience working as a therapist with children, families, couples, and adults. I enjoy working with clients from different cultural backgrounds. I am a deeply relational therapist and I enjoy helping my clients find meaning and connection in their life. I specialize in helping clients to decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression. I help my clients to explore and process their past and/or current life transitions, stressors, childhood traumas, and other traumas. I help my clients to identify negative/unhelpful thoughts, feelings, patterns, behaviors and I help my clients to replace them with positive/helpful thoughts, feelings, patterns, behaviors. I feel passionate about helping my clients to achieve their goals in life. I enjoy the process of helping my clients in therapy as well as seeing the progress and growth that my clients make as a result of attending therapy sessions with me. I apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Bowen Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
I identify as a Russian/Slavic female. I am bilingual and bicultural. I moved to the United States when I was thirteen years old with my parents and two younger siblings. I am a first generation immigrant. I am a mom to my two beautiful daughters. I enjoy attending Pilates classes, hiking, walking at the park, playing tennis, reading a book, going to the movie theater, watching a show at the theatre, spending time with my daughters, and attending church events.
