About
Cara
I am truly passionate about helping people navigate life’s most difficult moments, build deep and meaningful relationships, and achieve lasting mental wellness. With over 15 years of experience as a therapist, I view our work as a true partnership. My approach is deeply collaborative: we will work hand-in-hand to identify your unique goals and create a practical, compassionate path toward healing. I have cultivated advanced training across a wide range of evidence-based modalities including trauma-informed care and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), as well as bereavement and grief therapy. Additionally, I specialize in relationship dynamics through Gottman Method Couples Therapy and sex therapy, and I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness practices into my work to help clients find balance. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive experience walking alongside women, adolescents, parents, and individuals navigating major life transitions. I also provide a safe, nuanced space for those looking to address spirituality and religious issues. No matter what brings you to therapy, I look forward to meeting you and journeying alongside you during this chapter of your life.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you can usually find me spending quality time with my husband and three children. I also love recharging in nature, getting lost in a good book, exercising, catching up with friends, and enjoying a great cup of coffee.
