Hi, I am Betsey! My therapy style is trauma-informed and blends wisdom traditions with science-driven evidence-based practices in a mind–body–spirit (cognitive - somatic - Transpersonal psychology) integrative therapeutic approach. My sessions unfold organically with respect and honor for each individual’s lived journey and innate capacity for healing. I work collaboratively with clients, addressing their mental health concerns towards cultivating insight, awareness, balance and harmony. I am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, life-changes, spiritual / religious trauma, existential concerns, adverse childhood experiences, and grief. My belief is that everyone deserves to live a life of meaning, purpose and fulfillment wherein feeling safe, loved, seen, accepted and understood is the norm.
I live in rural southern Colorado at 8500' in the Sangre de Cristo mountains, nestled below 14,000 foot peaks. I am a Buddhist practitioner and Church of Inner Light (Colorado) minister. I have lived in Hawaii, Italy, and India. These days, I am often outdoors; discovering new trails, enjoying nature with my dog, and visiting sacred sites. I also enjoy creating culinary adventures in my kitchen.
