About
Elaina
Hello, I’m Elaina! I enjoy working with clients of various marginalized identities, especially Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent, and people with disabilities. I hope to build on their natural strengths, improve their functioning, and lessen the impact of their symptoms on their lives. I believe in self-determination and view all healing practices through the lens of social justice. I show up authentically with every client and know that a quality therapeutic relationship is one of the foundations of change and the healing that is possible through therapy.
I’m a proud Indigenous Latina, who is a queer, neurodivergent, disabled, cisgender woman. I listen to music voraciously and am an avid Kpop fan, photocard and album collector, and "elder emo," loving both genres of music for over 20 years! I also love to sing and make music on the guitar, flute, ukulele, and viola. I occasionally remember to water my potted outdoor plants that are somehow still alive! When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with and caregiving for my younger sister, who is also my best friend. I work hard so she and my 2 cats can have a better life.
