Serving and supporting all identities through supportive, unbiased, and non-judgmental spaces in the San Francisco Bay Area—San Mateo County, Peninsula, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Mountain View, San Mateo, and San Carlos.

Starting care

Starting therapy at Two Chairs is simple. To book an initial consult, you can speak with a Care Coordinator by calling (415.202.5159), or schedule an appointment online. Then we'll send you link to your client survey that should be completed before you come in for your in-person consult. After you meet with your consult clinician, we'll match you with the Two Chairs therapist best suited to your needs, goals, and preferences for ongoing care. You and your therapist will work together to create a longterm custom mental health care plan.

Our clinical director

Will Alexander, MFT, has years of experience caring for clients as a therapist at Unity Care, Fred Finch Youth Center and Seneca after getting his M.A. in Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco. He uses empathy, respect, humor and curiosity to guide treatment.

FSA / HSA

Using a flexible spending accounts (FSA) or a health savings accounts (HSA), you can set aside pre-tax money, and apply that to each appointment with us.

If you or someone you know has a diagnosis that requires more holistic care or inpatient services, we recommend this list of resources, put together by San Mateo County.

While we don't offer couples counseling, family therapy, couples therapy, or marriage counseling services as of now, we have Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) at Two Chairs who can provide care on an individual basis. We recommend this resource, and encourage you to check back with us as we expand our services in California and beyond.
